Heldon - Stand By (1979)

Heldon's best album! This just seems to tick all the right boxes, musically. It's certainly there most accessible work  and brings to fruition, to my mind at least, there facination with intense and hypnotic electro rhythms awash with "Richard Pinhas's" searing soaring guitar.

This album is much more sequencer driven too and better for it! You will find more than a hint of "King Crimson" and "Tangerine Dream" but quite different to either of those as these guys have always had a atyle of there own.

 Heldons masterwork!

Peter Frohmader & Richard Pinhas - Fossil Culture (1999)

A very interesting dark mix from two of the giants - Richard Pinhas ( Heldon) guitar and Frohmader bass / electronics.

As one might expect this is very avant darkwave electro which pulses and pounds with bass and frippian electric guitar dominating the spaces. Ethereal at times, even soundscapey but never new age , always tense and foreboding.

An Excellent Album of primordeal electronics which at times recalls "Fripp & Eno".

Heldon - Interface (1978)

The French "Heldon" was formed in the 70's by guitarist "Richard Pinhas".

Synthesizer / sequencer and Frippian guitar dominates nearly all of there albums.

"Interface" in particular is very intense with elements of Zeuhl and "King Crimson" progressive like guitar explorations, with a heady dose of mechanical and chaotic experimentalism. There's also some Can like sound in there too.

Not really there most accessible album for the most part, but nonetheless excellent when your into there sound, which is quite unique really. The title track "Interface"
is the highlight of the album. A lengthy instrumental which sounds like "Weidorje" and "King Crimson" on a bender .
